I finally convinced Svend to let us get a hand me down couch. For the past 5 years, we've had a single love seat. It was great...but now that we have 6 in our family, it's a little tight. Someone is always booted off. My mom does not feel "welcome " in my home because there is not seating (hehe). ANYWAYS, we've been saving for a couch set for about a year. Unfortunately every time we start getting close, something comes up and all our money heads a different way. I am against buying a used couch after learning about dust mites and bed bugs and all that other stuff Dr Oz loves to share on his show... but free from a friend? I'm okay with. So, our friends just moved and were going to leave their couch on the side of the street to save on storage. I told her we wanted it and then told Svend we were getting it (nicely). He said "o....kay." Friday was the day.
He calls on his way home from work
Him: where are you?
Me: we're at the park. Meet us at the ???'s house
H: why
Me: the couch
H: I really don't want that couch.
Me: I really do. we don't have any room for everyone and we need it!
H: I'd rather save and wait
Me: We are not getting the couch set for a while. I'd rather have something now and then when we can afford it, we'll pass it on to someone else.
H: I really don't want it
Me: See you at their house. I LOVE you :)
H: iofjeoakfldk
hehe.
So, not only did we get a couch, but it has a sofa bed!!! We had movie night last night while Svend was a priesthood and all the kids laid on the bed. It was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love my free couch. Thank you ??? family !!!!!! We appreciate you giving our family a place to sit!
