Modesty.

We've really been stressing modesty in our home alot. It's hard sometimes but for the most part, skirts come to our knees and shirts have sleeves (unless we're exercising or sleeping). Tally is really good about it (except for this one outfit that i will be putting away as soon as she takes it off today) unless she sees someone from church wearing what we've told her no to. Probably a big reason why I don't want to move to a big "mormon" state..but she is only 6... so what can you do? LOL. Anyways, so because we have the rule, we haven't made it gender specific or age specific. ALL the kids wear sleeves. Bergen has been really funny with the modesty issue...

1. We were driving to church and there was a guy running on the side of the road shirtless. Bergen says "oh sick! he doesn't have a shirt on! that is NOT modest!" Tally explained he was exercising and boys often don't wear shirts... I hadn't actually thought about it til that point, but Bergen has rarely been shirtless because even at the pool, he wears a sunscreen shirt.

2. This morning I went to check on him and make sure he was getting dressed. He had on a shirt that was really too big. He kept grabbing the neck and adjusting it. I asked him if he wanted to change since it was really big. He responded "yes, it's showing too much skin!" LOL. Too much neck skin is a bad thing I guess :)
