I'm like my dad... as we walked through the village celebration today, I was grabbing EVERYTHING I could...and since we have 4 kids, I was getting 4 of everything ;) Svend was super annoyed and walked WAY ahead of me as I struggled to juggle all the stuff in my hands. So glad when someone had a bag that I could fill up... I filled 3! HAHA!

I'm thinking...stocking stuffers! :)

Then, of course, just before it's time to do the carnival (the part my kids look forward to EVERY YEAR), it threatens to rain. Tally was very upset with ME because we had to leave. As soon as we got to our house it was a HORRIBLE downPour! I took that time to create a list of "to dos" for the house...and then, like Brooklyn and Tabitha, I took a nap :)

Most of the list was completed when I woke up... well, enough anyways :)

So, back to the carnival. The kids each got to do 3 rides... I know...not a lot, but $1 a ticket times 3 kids with rides costing 2-3tickets...uh, ya. 3 rides is ENOUGH! :)

Then on to RIB FEST! My hands still smell like grilled corn. YUMMMMMMMM!!!! And then the sprinkling... back to the car (1/2 a mile away) and the MINUTE we got packed in, it started POURING again!

The kids watched fireworks from their bed-room windows. WAY better than getting eaten by moskitos and having cranky babies!

I guess the HiGhLiGhT of the day was the firestation. Tabitha is a NUT! She and Bergen dressed up and did a fireman obstical course (tally did it but refused to dress up). Then, Tally slid down the fireman pole, and Tabitha literally RACED up the stairs (with HUGE gaps--SCARY) to jump down the pole too! She was so tiny, it was hilarious...and of course, all the kids did it over and over again.
