Missionary

Tally is so excited. Why? because she gets to "be a missionary now! and doesn't have to wait til [she's] grown up!" Our neighbor is wonderful. The kids adore her and she adores them. She smokes. Tally said a few weeks ago that we needed to "teach her the gospel" because of this. We've invited her over for FHE but she won't come and a mutual friend has invited her to churhc but she won't come. Finally on Sunday we let Tally take her some pass along cards.

Today I went outside to grab Tally and she was of course over talking to our neighbor. Our neighbor said "she's teaching me about your church." I apologized. Why? I have no clue why I did that! But she then said "she'll be a great missionary someday!" Tally was beaming! She was so proud and pleased with what she'd done.

I asked her later about it and she said that she sang her two songs. I'll Walk With You and I Belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter DAy Saints. The then told her about our church, what it looked like and what we do at church. She made me smile. She has a way with others I can't explain. She's very straight forward about the word of wisdom, modesty, and saying the Lord's name in vain. She will speak her thoughts willingly. I'm grateful for her example. I hope she never loses that.
