Love living in a house. Love renting so I'm not responsible for major repairs. Unfortunately, I'm still responsible for taking care of the house and today that meant shoveling window-wells so that the basement doesn't flood when our 4 feet of snow surrounding our house melts. And...well, since Hubby is away, it falls on me! Oh well! I honestly love the challenge! It was great!! I went out in shoveled while Sweet's took a nap. I made the older kids come out too. They played in the back yard. While I shoveled I built a slide of snow for their sled. It was super fast (super short too...) and they loved it. Then, they went on the build a snowman. The weather was PERFECT! Had to be in the high 30s and NO wind (WAHOO!). The kids continued outside while I came in to clean bathrooms (they were in DESPERATE need). I think the kids stayed out for about 2+ hours! It was wonderful! Now...cookies just finshed cooking (easy ones from the store--hehe) and the kids are watching a blockbuster movie. Life is good. Life is wonderful. I love my kids. I love my hubby. I'm so glad we have our little family :)
But just so you know my life is not all "love and laughter"... I made a new rule that the kids cannot watch TV while I'm working. They can either help me or they can play together. BabyGirl says to me "can you work faster so we can watch our show?!" Seriously!? Brat! I responded (nice actually!), "how about you ask me what you can do to help so you can watch TV?" She did and her and Bugs helped :) Boy we are trying to nip this little attitude/mouth in the bud!
