What being a mom meant today:
Woke up by teething baby at 12am, 2am, 4am, and lastly 5am
tried to keep eyes open from 5am on
got kids breakfast and had them get dressed
changed diapers
sent Sweets BACK TO BED
crawled back in bed
woken by BG who needed me to press play on the DVD player
picked up kids from preschool in the freezing cold after a 30min TOTAL nap(ish)
ran to the bank so we didn't overdraw
grabbed some tacos from taco bell so we wouldn't miss the bus...scoring me extra mom points
sat on couch and tried to keep eyes open
Put Sweets back to bed
cuddled with Bugs on the couch and passed out--finally.
welcomed home BG
Got Sweets motrin after seeing the themometer register 101.5
made mini pizzas with bagels-kids helped while I held Sweets
Resisted the urge to disown BG when she glared at me for not getting around to washing her favorite pair of pjs
watched more movies (sick baby)
did fondue with the kids...so we'd have some sort of entertainment
(made the kids pickup everything first! :)
stopped Bugs mouth from bleeding everywhere after a collision
scriptures (actually half since the older ones couldn't control their bodies and Sweets ended up getting bonked in the head and screaming...)
prayer
BED
my book :)
Not to mention all the dishes and clutter-picking-up....
Looking back it wasn't that much...but when you add a sleepless night to any day, it feels like it drags!
JOY:
Today I was talking to the kids about the ultrasound coming up. BabyGirl asked what she will look like this time. I told her about all the facial features she'd be able to see and that she will look like a real baby. BabyGirl responds "execpt she won't have knee-caps, babies don't have knee-caps." Yep.... her dad's a soon-to-be-podiatrist!
Did chocolate fondue with the kids for an entertainment boost! It was fun. The kids enjoyed stabbing different treats and dipping them...then of course eating!
Sweets is teething (I hope). She has been cranky pants all day long after waking up at 5am. She has a fever and keeps grabbing her mouth. Motrin is a MIRACLE DRUG!
Taught Sweets all the actions to "if you're happy and you know it"...she loved it and so I pulled out the video camera. She did the first verse and then yelled "no" at me everytime I tried to sing more--silly kid! Bugs and I were cracking up!
