random act of kindness

So yesterday, we took the kids to Taco Bell...I NEEDED a burrito :) --weird thing...I've been craving RANDOM junk/fast food...but as soon as I have it...I am good! Though...I could go for another burrito!

Anyway, so we got the bare minimum...spent $13 on a family of 6 and we all shared one small drink (yay! FREE REFILLS!) Anyway, we are sitting there...the kids are being good and Brooklyn's climbing on everything, and I'm just leaning against my arm on the table trying to eat as I was dealing with the balance of filling up before being too sick to eat... and this woman starts walking towards us. I kind of sat up and smiled at the kids (trying to act as though I was "relishing" the moment) and she hands me this gift card for $20 to taco bell and says "here. enjoy." We thanked her tremendously and she just smiled and left. WOW! Talk about a "gift freely given!" What a wonderful wonderful example of how there is good in this world. I am grateful to her, for showing me that we can give. I looked at Svend and said "now we need to pay it forward." he said "we will. just give us some time." I am so appreciative to that woman. To her prompting. How sweet.  Svend can eat lunch for a while on that $20...unless I use it for burritos :)

Anyway, we are grateful. We are blessed. Heavenly FAther is mindful of His children and blesses us all constantly with tender mercies. We just need to open our eyes and see them.
