changing things around

So, we had a GREAT weekend at the timeshare! I wasn't sick AT ALL yesterday! I really think it's because we just sat around and watched tv...we went swimming for an hour and took a walk at night...but other than that, ZERO stress... ZERO places to be! It was WONDERFUL...so it's official...I need NO stress or NEEDS this pregnancy! haha. I wish!

We are changing things around soon...but since we have the ideas floating...I want to start...NOW! We are putting ourselves into Bergen and Brooklyn's room. The girls (all of them eventually) will go into our room and Bergen and baby will get the girl's room. Here's why...

Bergen's room is the biggest...and we'll probably end up having the crib with us for a while-SUCKS! The girls are all going to be in our room...the biggest because well...there will be 3 beds in here. And all the girl stuff. I am thinking of buying (or making) and small closet rod on wheels for dress ups... and making it just a really GIRL room... Reading area... dress up area... and toy box. we'll see. Then Bergen will be in the small room...and he has the most crap (toys) but I think it'll be okay. I'm going to make him a "gun sling" ....basically a piece of fabric with pockets he can slide each of his guns into and it will hang on the wall (or in his closet) because I will have a hanger attached at the top. That's my next sewing project.

Speaking of sewing projects...I need to make bags of some sort to put all the animals in... I was thinking bean-bags...but maybe just long body pillows? Then they can fill them up and put them on the ends of their beds?? we'll see. I think I have enough fabric for these projects...so we're good!

I found a baby bouncer for $15. SUPER nICE! I will have to buy this week :) The only other baby thing we are getting is a carseat and possibly a boppy...I never used one for nursing, but it was sooooo nice to lay the baby in... Other than that, we'll just buy things as we need them. I have a small tupperwear with nursing pads, onsies, and milk bags...that's it! AHH!

Tomorrow is MLK day. Svend and the kids will be home and we have a LIST of errands. I'm going to try to pursuade Svend to take ALL the kids with him... and let me stay home and clean and organize... the morning is my BEST time...so what ever I can get done before 11 is pretty much all I can bare to do all day... We'll see if he bites!

Why single?

I remember being engaged and thinking "I can't wait til we're married and we can be together ALL the time." A married friend of mine said "yeah right. We see eachother less now." I didn't believe her :) Well, one month after graduation, babygirl came along. Hubby had a crappy job and didn't get any days off. Luckly she was born on a Sunday. We lived away from any family and dealt for a few days til help arrived. (more like cried and ate toast while never putting down a nursing baby). More school for hubby and Bugs came along. Hubby's don't get maternity leave when they're students...so again we dealt for a few days until help arrived. Moved onto Grad school. Took hubby to carpool every morning @ 6am and picked him up at 5:30pm. Dinner and kids in bed by 6:30 then studying til 10pm. Got a second car (hooray!) which allowed the kids to stay up later and sleep in...thus getting to see daddy more. 3rd year of grad school brought Sweets with it. Hubby got my text to meet me at the hospital. Left school and came over. Back at school the next day. No tears. Lots of help with friends this time :) And family arrived before I was even discharged! Baby #4 came 2 months before graduation…and shortly after we learned we did not match. ..so no job or place to go. we made it though-as you will see. Our caboose arrived at the beginning of our last year in residency. I started this blog when just 3 were at home. It's been a place for me to vent, rejoice, and basically be honest and real with out situation and that of many other students/residents/beginning doctors. Now are in our first year of our career and already we have seen several lows…but we keep chugging forward…and I'm happy to report, I'm not so single any more!
