Svend is on call, so Saturday he took that opportunity to make me a GREAT breakfast! Then, we went rental hunting...
Sunday, Svend helped get the kids ready for church. I usually let him sleep later and go slower just because the poor guy wakes up at 4:30am most days... I think he should be able to sleep in til 8am on Sunday! So, that said, we were just barely on time to church. Whew. Sacrament was great. The kids sang all the words to their songs. Bergen even sang "MOTHER" when he wasn't supposed to and all was quiet, and it was the cutest thing!
Svend got paged just as Sacrament meeting was ending, so he and I ran home so he could get his car to head to the hospital. Church was great. Brooklyn actually stayed by me in RS and didn't wander around. She did however, take every opportunity she could to make as much "talking" noise as possible ;)
The kids and I got home and I put ribs in the over. The kids helped our neighbor and she paid them. Mean mom, me, made them return the money. It was SUNDAY! Talia understood. Bergen was mad. Oh well. I tried to take a nap but to no avail. My 2.5 year old has been on a tantrum for the past month and well...it didn't end on Mother's day. I was peeved about that, but it was okay. Svend got home around 4, started the grill, and put the ribs on.
We ate an early dinner and stayed out side the rest of the day. It was a BEAUTIFUL day!
I love my mom. I'm grateful for her example to me. I was so excited to be able to help my little brother find a ticket to make it home for Mother's day and surprise her! I'm so glad he thought of that.
I love my kids. Sometimes hearing "mom!" can been really annoying...but I'm grateful I have that name. I love being a mom!
