YAY!! BLESSINGS = time to teach kids!

One thing I love about my dad is that he taught me that when there are blessings after trials, you should use that time to teach your kids about how much Heavenly Father truely cares about you.

So...every night we have 3 "required" things everyone prays for:

1. Uncle Jordan to be safe (though the kids have started saying "fight carefully")

2. Daddy to pass his test

3. Daddy to get a job

Our #1 is answered daily in the continued safety of my little brother. #2 was answered today!!!!!!!! Yes!!!! HE PASSED HIS BOARDS!!! FINALLY A GREEN LIGHT SO WE CAN APPLY FOR RESIDENCY PROGRAMS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, tonight when we had family prayers, we reminded the kids that of what to pray for and to make sure and THANK Heavenly Father for Svend passing his boards. Then, when prayers were over I asked the kids "have we been praying for daddy to pass his test?" Yes. "and did Heavenly Father answer that?" Yes. " So, if Heavenly Father answered that prayer, do you think he'll answer our prayers for him to get a job?" YES!!!

While trials are hard, I'm "grateful" for the learning experiences and growth they provide me and my family. Let the job search begin :)
