so, Hubby went to take his boards (and feels really good about this test!)...and I... well...thought we'd have a calm and peaceful day... not so!
Got Bugs in the car and headed out to pick up his little friend for preschool. Only made it about 3 feet when "THUD!" something was blocking my van from leaving the driveway. What could it be?? Hubby's car! OUCH!!! Hubby had carpooled and left his car right behind the van...and since it was no normal for hubby to be gone withOUT his car, I didn't really look... yeah, nice little bolt marks in my bumper...ugh!
So, now I need to move hubby's car...no keys. He has them with him... So I'm stressing out because I'm late, I can't find my phone to call my friend, and I can't find hubby's spare key. Finally call Hubby, tell him what happened (GREAT to tell Hubby before his ever important test...oops!)., have him call my friend and finally find my phone. She comes to pick up Bugs for school....Now the search for the key continues because our new baby has a drs appointment that is much needed...
Finally find the key, go to the dr, pick up Bugs and friend from school. Back home for a rush lunch for BabyGirl and get her on the bus... Sweets refuses to take a nap--UGH! So...
Pack in the car (btw, Grandma is here with me --YAY!) because I have some errands to run, so I'm hoping Sweets will just sleep in the car. I am holding the new baby and trying to get Sweets in the car. She refuses and drops...so I pick her up by her hand to put her in the van...P.O.P!!! Nurse-maid's-elbow. WAHOO!! Poor kid! I can't quite be sure and we have to go to the ER anyways, so I buckle her in and we start to drive. She falls asleep so...
I go to DHS to drop off some info for our public aid. Here's how THAT went :
there's no one in line so I walk up to the lady on the right. She tells me I need to get back in line and wait for the lady on the left. Okay. So I stand in my own line and wait. Left Lady calls me and asks what I need. Just a copy. So I type in my social and LL tells me to have a seat and wait to be called. (I'm still the only one!). Right Lady calls me to her desk and asks what I need. I repeat "a copy..." She takes me stuff and has me take a seat...again. 5 min later LL asks if I've been helped yet--seriously? RL comes back and gives me my original and copy. Uh? I need to turn in the copy... anyways, she realizes that and now...after 10 min of being the ONLY person between the TWO desk ladies...I'm done.
Get back in the car with the kids and grandma. Sweets wakes up and instantly is whining. Okay. It's hurt. To the ER. 1/2 hour after being in the room the dr comes in and "sets" her elbow. And... of course I'm given advice about how to correctly pick up my child (this is the second time...). Luckly it's a common injury so I wasn't blamed.
Make it home just in time for BabyGirl to get off the bus...
That was fun. Glad Hubby had a relaxing time taking his boards :)
