a day for posts...I guess...

Apparently today has brought a lot of thoughts...but I need to write them before I forget...

1st: Adjustment
Bugs is really having a hard time adjusting to life right now. He is my emotional sweet heart. He is going to be a WONDeRFUL husband someday because of his sensitivity. Since the baby came, his heart has opened even bigger to include her in his love. He sits by her and sings to her when she's crying. He is ALWAYS willing to throw out the dirty diapers and does WHATEVER I ask-sometimes to a fault. However, something is going on in that little (well, actually it's quite large :) head of his. He is struggling. Hubby mentioned the "terrible" letters "ADHD." I realize these aren't terrible but you have to see where I'm coming from on this...

From the day their grandkids are born it seems like his parents have "diagnosed" them with some form of ADD or ADHD. It's almost like they relish it. True, it runs in their family but it shouldn't be messed around with or used as an excuse to "drug" them...

Anyways.... I'm starting to believe it actually. HOWEVER, in school he follows exactly what the teacher asks and is always the first to obey...so I'm NOT worried!

At home however he is OBLIVIOUS! Part of it is just being 4...but when he does get that sometimes painful wakeup call in the form of a spanking because we've asked him (seriously) 5 times to not do flips RIGHT next to the baby, he sulks off and cries to himself. This is new. He feels like we're not giving him a chance, when in reality, we've given him lots. I just really think he's lost in there...so we're adjusting and trying to figure out what to do....

2nd: FHE tonight... FAIL! (sort of)
So, it's true we are the totally steller family that has FHE EVERY WEEK! YES, I can say that! However, it's also true that we RARELY plan lessons or activities and pretty much do everything on the fly :) So tonight the kids were roughhouseing and Bugs had gotten his feelings hurt one too many times...so I decided what we'd do for our activity...

I grabbed 5 pieces of paper, wrote each persons name on each one and then we went around the room saying what we loved about the person (after talking about how Heavenly Father made everyone and we're all loved and we should love everyone...etc.) The kids LOVED this. It was fun. Then, I said that we'd put them on the wall so everyone could see them ..still good...then I said "and when we fight, we'll go and look at the papers so we can remember why we love eachother... Hubby begins to laugh... a lot!The kids are wondering why...and I'm pretty sure the word "retarded" probably escaped hubby's lips... I admit, it was a little crazy... :P

well, then we brought it back by teaching the kids "Families can be together forever". That was good. I love singing songs especially primary songs, with my kids. Then, we taught them a missionary song. (okay, we really just sang them...).

so now for the treat-YUM! S.M.O.R.E.S. Sweets wanted nothing to do with it and BG freaked out about how sticky it was...seriously?! They were so excited to eat them until they had to touch them...crazy kids! Not my side of the family! Okay, I guess FHE wasn't a total FAIL, but there were moments when it was :)

3rd. We've narrowed down Sweet's allergy to either tomatoes or cheese sticks...
