99.9999% sure

we found a place to live :) See...I knew I couldn't stop looking! We had found a town home in an apartment community available when we needed it...but when we went down, it just felt wrong... so I called on another we'd found (since we were an hour away from home anyway...) and it was rented...then I remembered this one I'd seen for a while but hadn't checked out because they wanted renters immediately...

We called the realtor and she said June would work just fine -BONUS! She wasn't available to show it, but we went and walked around and looked inside the windows. YES! It's definitely going to be smaller for a higher price, but it's still in our budget, in a SUPER nice area, AWESOME schools (well, 9s and 10s on great schools.com) and it's a townhouse... 3 bed, 2 bath, unfinished basement...

Our "yard" is in the back of the units, so it doesn't face the parking lot. Just backs up to another town home community.

It's funny because we called the Bishop to ask about the apartments we were checking out and she gave us a realtor (so now we're using an LDS realtor who will help us with this...and hopefully even lower the rental price!) and also an apartment where several medical school students live. I was excited to live by other young families, but when I called and asked the rent...I wondered how on EARTH these STUDENTs were paying the rent! True, I feel poorer now that we're residents...but we definitely did NOT have $1600-$1700 to spend on RENT alone as students. HOLY cow! They are either living WELL ABOVE their means, or they get a TON more student loans than we did. Wow. I kindly declined to offer to check those out. :)

So, tomorrow we go INSIDE the townhouse...or as Svend says "our new home." He's sold. I'm glad he's sold. I am mostly sold...but if I can get the rent lowered by $100, I'll be completely sold. It's been on the market for several months...so I don't know why they wouldn't want to rent it...and we'll sign a 2 year contract. We'll see tomorrow!
