tonight we read about the widow's mite. I always summerize after reading the scripture so the kids can understand..
Me: The poor woman gave Jesus all her money... (and explained why it was more than what rich people gave even though it was technically "less")
Tally: why?! Jesus should have given her money.
Me: well, uh... she loved him and wanted to give him everything she had
Tally: but everyone was giving Jesus money so he had enough to share.
Me: Well, they were just giving it to Jesus so he could give it to those who really needed it (went on to re-explain the purpose of tithes and fast offerings..)
Tally: but if she gave him everything she can't have food. So she will die in 6 days! ( I told her once it would take atleast 6 days to die if you had no food or water...)
Then, when she did our family prayer tonight she stressed for Daddy to get a job "really really let him get this job and the one tomorrow!" and then said "bless all the people in the world, except the bad ones..." haha. She said she was just going to ask for Him to bless the people in our ward but decided that since he loves everyone she should pray for everyone :)
