Went to a concert in the park where I spent $3 on popsicles and Brooklyn screaming from the heat.. then to a park with an old friend and some others. Bergen wore a TURTLE neck shirt in the heat. I even handed him a short sleeved shirt after the concert and he didn't put it on for the park. Wierdo.
Then, home. Just in time because it poured the minute I got the kids inside. Baby's slept, I laid on my bed and big kids watched movies.
Ate dinner then took all 4 to the pool...BY MY SELF! YEs, I'm THAT cool! :)
Thought it'd be fine because they have a baby pool and I made all the kids wear life jackets. The big kids went to the big pool and soon Tabitha had to join...so we went. I stood in on the steps with her and let her float around. Luckly, a neighbor/ward member saw us and decided to let her kids swim too. She held Brooklyn for me the entire 45 minutes! Tabitha soon had me take off her life jacket and began jumping in the water like a mad woman! She is nuts!! She would get out and run along the edge til I yelled stop. Then, when I got to her, she'd turn away from me and jump! She is a stinker! So glad my friend stopped by!!!!!
It looked like rain and started thundering so I forced the kids out of the pool. They were not happy. Mostly because everyone else was staying... idiots. :P So we walked home and the kids rode their bikes. The MINUTE we walked in, it DUMPED!!! All those poor people! Glad Brooklyn and Tabitha didn't get dumped on...that would have been HORRIBLE!!!
Svend got home about 30 minutes later (and so the later evenings begin...) and we put the kids to bed. Crazy thunder and lightening outside. Tally told me she was scared but I told her it was fine and brushed it off ( I LOVE THUNDER AND LIGHTENING!!). She did too. :) Power went out and I got a text from a friend about a tonardo watch... huh...after looking it up online, it was actually while we were at the pool. A.W.E.S.O.M.E. But the sirens never went off...so whatever :)
Power came on sometime in the middle of the night. I slept with Tabitha because Svend was so tired he was snoring like crazy! The power went back off sometime soon after...and hasn't returned (it's nearly 7am).
Brooklyn slept from 8:30 til 5:30, ate and is back asleep. I have the best baby :) of course, before crashing last night she screamed for an hour + in my arms...so it was well deserved!
Thinking it's a library day. It was supposed to be a cleaning day...but can't do too much without power... :P
