To Brooklyn

Today is Brooky's birthday.  We are so grateful you are in our family. On your birthday I can't help but remember what a stressful time we were having when you were born and how we all realized just how lucky and blessed we were to have you in our lives.  You are a stinker of a little girl! Always always stirring things up with your brother and sisters! You crack us up with your laugh and smile. You love to twirl on one foot and show off your frequent princess attire. You love having something in your hair. Tonight Daddy took the older kids out to dinner and it was just the two of us. You ignored me while you watched Dora for nearly 2 hours! Finally, you realized I was there and I flipped you off the slide, chased, and tickled you. We put together a puzzle which you promptly destroyed :) and you wrapped the twister game around you like a queen in her robe.  We went up stairs and "played" trains...you enjoyed destroying the track and making the cars go flying.  You had me put a clip in your hair and then rain down stairs yelling "daddy!" to go show daddy your beautiful hair. He wasn't home though :( But we laughed with your glowing microphone that you kept shoving into my mouth. haha!

This morning we played in the flood water and you kept throwing your rubber ducky into it. Stinker! Bergen and Tally had to keep fishing it out.  Tabitha was playing with princess dolls and you kept running in and grabbing them and hiding them as fast as you could. Stinker! You crack us up!!!  We love how much joy you bring into our home and we are so grateful you chose to come live with us.

I hope I can be the mommy that you wanted.  I hope I can be better. I hope we can all show our love for you and that you feel it always.  Happy Birthday my sweet sweet baby. We love you!
