we've been slacking on FHE. We quit doing it on Mondays because of...BONES...and Svend is always home super early on Wednesdays...so we switched it to that. Of course, over the past few months it has turned into a quick little something that we "count" as being together and it's over.
so after conference and all the talk about our ETERNAL beings and Marriage that is ordained of God, etc...I decided we would start again. Skip Bones. Monday night returns.
We did the proclamation to the World. I took about 5 sheets of paper and broke down each paragraph into stand out words or phrases. Then I summarized with the kids. The best part though was when I asked what the role of mother was...
Bergen :to have kids. What?
Me: (laughing) because dad's can't have kids.
Bergen: no. Because boys never go to the doctor and moms have bigger bellies.
We were all rolling! We talked about OTHER responsibilities of moms too!
Then we played with the parachute. It was so fun with ALL the kids getting into it. Just a few moments of "stop that!" and "stop your attitude" but over all a good fun night.
I love my children and I'm going to be a better mom.
