overwhelming...

It's been a tad bit stressful in our parts for the past little while. I've tried to think about things to write, but I'm pretty much putting all my efforts into making to the end of residency...one week at a time. Most of this is financial...not time. I know Svend will get busier as he begins different rotations (starting next week) but for now, we are just trying to focus on getting by. This basically means hanging on for dear life.

I am getting a bit frustrated waiting for checks to clear. I know the money is NOT in my bank account and so it is very frustrating seeing it SIT there...teasing me.

I am very frustrated with "nickel and diming"...yes "party planner" at the school... $5 is a pain to come by. And... school supplies for preschool? COMe ON!

People KEEP asking if we're having more. Actually they don't really ask, it's more like "you're not having more, are you??" Anyways, this question has frustrated me over and over on several levels but I finally came up with a VERY good answer (without answering the question about single-handedly over populated the earth)... "It would be IRRESPONSIBLE of us to have another child at this point in our life." There.

I'm grateful all "fully talking" children are in school...why? because now when I go to the store, I don't have to explain why we aren't getting a particular item... They never ask for me to buy certain things when we're at home, so it's less stress.

Tabitha (almost 2years old) has been the death of me. Between her tantrums and tummy issues, it's been an "adventure" and not a very fun one. However...she is really cute. It saves her. Literally.

Brooklyn is still by far the easiest baby. However, she is the only one who absolutely refuses to take a bottle or eat rice cereal...it's getting old.

Last weekend we had the opportunity to go to a WhiteSox game with Svend's program. That was SWEET! The kids loved it. We met for HUGE pizza in chicago (one slice was the size of a large pizza), went to the zoo, then headed to the game...we got home at around 1am and I realized just how far his commute is... I kind of want to move now.

We didn't continue Katate (money) and luckly the kids are so focused on school that they haven't asked to do anything else. I'm hoping we can afford to put them each in something this spring (crossing fingers)

We got locked out of the house on Sunday (NOT MY FAULT) because the door knob broke! seriously. Luckly we didn' thave any of the babies inside!!! We ended up having Svend climb up on the roof (in his church clothes) to get in... fun times!

I am really grateful the experiences we're going through right now. They are hard. It is not fun, but it's not forever... and we are learning aLOT.
