Yesterday was horrible. Wow. From the minute the kids woke up to the minute they went to bed. The highlight was when I left them at a friends house for 2 hours while I test drove some minivans...though that wasn't much better. I ended up having to LITERALLY RUN out of the place b/c they were trying to suck me in and I did NOT want what they had to offer. This week has been stressful for 3 reasons
1. the kids have been going to bed late and waking up at the usual time--CRANKY
2. my parents are coming in to town tomorrow and my house was sooo torn apart I could barely think
3. I'm trying to test drive and purchase a van with 3 kids in tow... not fun
so... now...
1. the kids are still asleep and it's past their normal wake up time--HOORAY
2. my downstairs is CLEAN and now I just have to do the upstairs (and my car)
3. I found a van! If this one doesn't work out then I'm done til Svend gets home, but I'm REALLY REALLY REALLLLLLLLY hoping this is it! SO that said, I'm off the computer when the kids wake up b/c I'm no longer doing internet car searches--WAHOOO!!!
Today I have parent-teacher conferences for both kiddos. Should be interesting. Babygirl is struggling and Bugs is getting bullied...so this will be a BLAST! :P
Then, I promised the kids the Jelly-Belly factory tour...then Sweet's nap...then Bug's best friend is coming over! I can't wait for that one. We don't get to see them that much b/c their mom works from home..so we are never on the same schedule. Bugs has been begging for weeks to see this little boy so we're all excited! Somewhere in this day I will clean my room and all the toilets!
Babygirl came in my room this morning around 4am just sobbing. She'd had a nightmare. So sad. These are the moments I love being a mom--the rescuer. I hope I can be better at rescuing my children and better at not being the all-powerful mom. Welp, sounds like Sweet's teeth just woke her up... yay! :P today will be good. ... :) right?!?!?!?!?
