I turned 30!

1. My AMAZING husband! Thank you, Svend, for asking me to marry you!
2. My FOUR wonderful children. I couldn't imagine life without each and every one of you!
3. My frustrating hair...because it means I HAVE hair
4. My body of which I am most critical and shouldn't be, because I HAVE a body and it's a GIFT!
5. Our home to live in.
6. Money to pay our bills, needs, and even some wants
7. Talia's mothering...because it means I'm showing her how to be a mom
8. Bergen's constant questions about the temple, Good Vs Evil, and all things church related, because it means I'm teaching him about the gospel.
9. Tabitha's tantrums...because it mean's I'm learning more patience.
10. Brooklyn's ability to sense when I'm out of the house (even if she's asleep!) because it mean's she's my number one fan.
11. A messy house because it means that we play
12. Dirty dishes because it means that we have enough to eat
13. Music
14. Medicaid (I wasn't grateful for this very much last year...) because it means we can have insurance that we can't afford
15. The Gospel
16. Laundry because it means we have clothes to wear.
17. I'm thankful for the new nail polish stain on my shirt...because it means I created a moment with my little Tabitha
18. I'm grateful for the scuffs on the walls...because it means my kids are allowed to play in our house
19. I'm grateful that I can run and be active even if it's not very fast.
20. I'm grateful that my husband can call me "old woman" and it doesn't mean much because he will always be older than me :)
21. I'm grateful for my education. I may not be earning money with my degree, but I'm helping my kids become better citizens
22. I'm grateful for my college experience and roommates. I learned so much in those years and each day I am reminded of why I was "blessed" with certain roommates as I "deal" with my children ;)
23. I'm grateful that I am not just starting out as a new mom. Those times were HARD and I'm glad I'm passed that.
24. I'm grateful that when I meet other parents who I think are older than me, and then discover we are the same age, I still feel WAY younger than them! :)
25. I'm grateful I still have my sanity. I lose it each day for a few minutes here and there...but for the most part, it's still intact!
26. I'm grateful for my teeth. While I've had SEVERAL teeth problems, I'm still grateful I have teeth that serve their purpose and aren't green...or missing...or totally funk-ti-fied.
27. I'm grateful for the childhood I had, the examples that helped me become the woman I am, and for all the fun I had as a child. I'm grateful I am alive despite all the crazy things that probably should have prevented me making it to 30!
28. I'm grateful that Svend "gets me" for the most part. He understands my quirks and crazy parts. I'm grateful I still have a crazy side (and by crazy side I'm talking about the random dancing that makes my kids, and Svend's, eyes roll in embarrassment...or my singing!)
29. I'm grateful that I haven't completely lost all my talents in the pursuit of being a good mom. I sometimes struggle to remember my hobbies/hopes/dreams/talents...but in the end, I find them again!
30. I'm grateful just to be where I'm at. Today. With my beautiful eternal family. I'm grateful to be so blessed.
