Grudges

Bugs holds grudges...or maybe he just has a hard time forgetting "traumatic" experiences. (traumatic in his mind!) Traumatic experience #1: we had a yard sale and sold this punching game--rock em sock em robots. Anyways, the kids did play with it SOMETIMES, but we needed to declutter... However, when it was purchased, it was RIGHT when Bugs happened to be playing with it. This was nearly a year ago. Now from time to time he will burst into tears. When I ask him what's wrong, he will reply "that boy took my punching game, and I didn't want to sell it". He will then continue SOBBING until we distract him. Traumatic experience #2: he doesn't like change. BabyGirl asked me to put a clip in her hair with a twist. Bugs told her to change her hair becuase he didn't like it. He was frustrated ALL day because of this! Traumatic experience #3: last night we moved all the kids into one room. Only beds and clothes are "allowed" in that room leaving a "toy room" where the new baby will sleep at night. Our contract ends July 1st so it's not THAT long. Bugs has been in a car toddler bed for 2 1/2 years. He's HUGE. We had bunk beds in the girl's room...so we let him pick out spider man sheets for the twin bed and put his car bed in the garage (to sell). He was sooo excited about his "spider man bed." However, all day today and tonight he kept saying "I want to sleep in my own room." Oh boy.... just for a few months!
