letter to Talia...

I am a little late on getting this written, Talia…but now you are nine and 18 days ;)  You are one special lady. I hope you realize that. Every morning I grab you before you head out the door (even if you are about to miss the bus) and give you a hug and a kiss. I am hoping that that hug and kiss will help carry you through the day. That as problems come and friendship's get hard, you will remember that I love you.  I will always love you. No matter what.  That's not only my job but one of the best things I GET to do-love you.
You are growing up so fast. Too fast sometimes. It's hard to keep up with you. I just want to slow you down and keep you in the "little kid" zone forever.  You are super smart. You are carefree and loving. You try your hardest…and when you don't you feel bad quickly and try harder next time.
Don't let guilt guide you.  You are one of a kind.  You know what is right. When you make wrong choices, just know that you are human and your Father in Heaven loves you very much. All you have to do is repent and He will help you the next time you are faced with a tough choice.
You are a true friend.  Other kids like to gossip but you try so hard to not join in. You are so good at finding the good things in people. That's one thing I really love about you.
Right now, you love clothes and fashion. You do the best you can with what you have. With your birthday money you bought a beautiful colorful scarf that you wear as often as you can.  You are always trying to look your best.
You're starting level 5 in iceskating. I put you in it rather than having you repeat level 4 because I know you can do it. You are such a great skater. It's something I can tell you really love. I hope that you can always keep it up.
Right now you are looking forward to moving to Texas where you will have your own room and live near cousins. You'll be sad that Jada and Rebekah will still be here in Illinois but they will always be  your friends. Your friendship circle will just keep getting bigger and better. I sure do love you Tally Ruth! Love,
Mom
