better

today I will be better. Tally told me she hates her life. Literally. I am mostly the one she blamed. she feels like she's constantly in trouble with me. She feels like I look down on her.

We don't really talk. The only time I talk to her is to ask her to do something--which, for the record, is RARE!  She freaks out when I ask her to do something...so then she gets into trouble-and yes, mostly in front of her friends.  Anyway, trying to be better.

Yesterday we took out two HUGE shelves out of our room and threw them away.  Now it's like we just moved in and I have soooo much to do today.  I feel like our home is a constant state of re-organizing...just to keep up with all our stuff. I'm excited for the day when we have a home where everything has  a place.

Svend was getting texts like crazy yesterday from a DPM in Sherman, Texas.  the last few were talking about surgery. Basically it went like this

dr. Hayes- I send out all my rear foot cases
Svend-those are the surgeries I really like. I'm going into an ankle fracture right now.
dr. hayes-we'd like to keep them here and so would the hospital ;)
Svend-I understand.

HE NEEDS SOMEONE WHO CAN DO REAR-FOOT!!! WAHOOOOOO!!! I told Svend he should head down there ASAP and shadow him and tour the hospital.  He was planning on going to a conference in September, but if he goes down in the next few weeks, he could decided quicker if it's even worth it...if he likes the practice and could get a contract to look over.  I am beyond excited. They've been texting for a few months, but yesterday made it REALLY sound promising. We've been let down so many times.

on a side note, Svend wants to move to Boise...well, he said it's in his top 3. It goes Texas, Boise, Denver.  I did a survey on where we should live determined by my cost, weather, schools, etc and Boise was number 2. haha. No thanks ;)

Summer is coming in about 1.5 weeks. I'm excited..for now. I think it will be a really good one this year. All the kids are old enough to play independently at the play ground, we bought a pool pass, and we have TONS of library activities.  I'm hoping we really make the best of it and are able to enjoy it and each other. We're going camping on Saturday... I'm totally nervous. I always am. Just the cost, preparation, etc.  The kids will have a LOT of fun being in nature I'm sure and I am really hoping we just all get along and are able to have a good time.
