strep

ugh. Talia and I have strep. Well, we are pretty certain. our insurance SUCKS so it was going to cost $160 for me to get a strep test and Talia wouldn't be able to get in for a while… unless we went to the ER. All things point to it, including the snowy white tonsils.  Svend got us an rx of pack. if we feel better after 2 doses then we know it was strep…if not, it's a virus and we can't do anything about that anyway...

Talia can't swallow pills. really it's that she won't swallow them. She is so finicky about things like this… she hates putting anything in her body and has a weird taste or texture even if it is certain to make her better! I finally had to crush it in a giant spoon of yogurt to which she gagged the entire time.

anyway, today she said this to me :

T: Mom, do miracles still happen? M: yes. T:I feel like if I pray 3 times then tomorrow I will be healed. M:I think you're right, coupled with the medicine that God inspired drs to give, you will be healed.

I think she is just hoping I won't' make her take the medicine again…but she's wrong. I do believe tomorrow she will feel great and will be able to return to school. Prayer and modern medicine work great together!
