mattress miracle ;)

excuse now for typos... Blogging on my phone so I can watch dinner cook... But I had to write before I forget to.

since we moved here, our mattress has been on the floor. We left our bed and box spring in Illinois since it was gifted us and huge. Too expensive to move. Anyway, for the past week I have been feeling the need to ask on our ward fb page if anyone had a frame or box spring. Svend just wanted a king and we don't have money BC we are still living on our drained savings (miracle in itself!)... I didn't BC I didn't want anyone to feel bad for us and rush to give us whatever like we have already felt. We really owe a lot of pay it forwards. Anyway, our home teachers came over on Sunday. Before they came over, they had visited our elders quorem president. When they asked him if he needed anything, he said "yes, can you take this queen box spring away?" would you have done that? No. So our ht came over and first thing he asked was if we needed one... Yes!

so I lifted our mattress to put I on the box spring...it was covered in mildew!!! Disappointment !!!! I drug it out the garage. Always something, right? So the I pulled out our super cheap mattress from our couch. That was a rough week of sleep. I made a renters insurance claim. Denied. Our carpets had been cleaned right before move in....and created perfect conditions for mildew.

so out of options (and we don't have $500lying around) I just prayed. My brother came over and he asked where we got it from...costco. I had told others this, but never realized what I was saying... Costco has an amazing refund policy....which is, you can refund any time for any reason! We loaded it up. Its 6yrs old and "our fault" and they took it back. We even had an extra $10 after getting another queen. We wanted a king... But we already have the box spring and frame and we would have had to spend another $100 we didn't have. So this is my mattress miracle.

this phase in our lives has been LONG and we keep wondering when we will be financially stable and food secure... But I know that as I look for the blessings I will find them. We have been blessed beyond belief.

I think we will stay away from our boss' house for a  while. Its a bit depressing and hard not to covet... And remember that he's been at it longer than us. Our time will come... Sooner rather than later...hopefully ;) but ... If it doesn't... We'll hold on.

residency was 3 years and we made it. We're giving Texas 3 years. I hope we can give it a lot longer than that but minimum 3 years :)
