Today is Thursday. Bergen's birthday! Love him :)

Tuesday the IRS showed up at the office.  Dr Hayes said is was because they didn't know who Svend was and wondered if he was employed there. Really? A house call to see an employee?  Not likely.

Wednesday Dr Hayes called in sick.  Svend saw a few of his patients--atleast he got paid for these--unlike his post-op patients that Svend sees when Hayes decides to call in sick on a monday.  Yep, work for free…AWESOME! bleck!

Today Svend said it was time to give him 120 days notice he'd be leaving. He says he feels like if he does the right thing that all will be okay.  I agree.

Svend told the office manager/biller that we had to get out because things were seemingly going down hill fast. She felt bad and wished he'd stay. He told her he would tell Hayes today or this week.

Svend just got a text from a concerned co-worker (they are all gossip-girls over there) who said Hayes called Trish, the biller, and had her cancel all his patients tomorrow.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON OVER THERE?!

I am having an anxiety attack. Svend is scared but acting calm.

Has Hayes called Svend? no. Has Hayes mentioned anything to Svend? no! Has Hayes payed the IRS all of Svend's taxes? PROBABLY NOT!

We have 5 kids. We are trying to buy a house. We moved to Texas with a contract and good faith that our employer would be who he pretended to be--honest.  We have 300k in student loan debt. We have bills we have to pay.

I will go back to work. Svend will get a job at Kroger down the street if he has to.  yay. Not what we envisioned.

Dr Jackman will hire Svend…in April.  That's 3/12 months away.  5 kids…. 3 1/2 months without work.

The way his contract is set up, Svend should get paychecks for a long time to be honest…because anytime a client pays for services he provided, he should get paid.  But oh wait! We just learned that Svend's name ISN'T ON THE BILLS!!!! Instead it says -Hayes, Steve.   The  "-" is supposed to tell them apart.

Maybe Hayes is accused of insurance fraud? That'd be great. JUST PAY US WHAT WE'VE EARNED!!!!!!!!!! ''

I don't know what tomorrow will bring. I'm scared. I'm worried. Svend is such a good man. An honest man. A TRUSTWORTHY man and a TRUST-ING man.  He has tried to let it work. He has tried to give Hayes the benefit of the doubt. He has held on for so long and today was the day to just walk away…. but he couldn't. He couldn't quit. He felt he would try again tomorrow….

But now his patients are cancelled.  This isn't how it should be.
