Anders Dean Bjorn is here! He was born yesterday night at 8:13pm weighing 9lbs 1oz and measuring 21inches long. He doesn't look chubby but his arms and thighs are :) He is so handsome. He looked just like Tabitha when he was born but now just a few hours later a bit like Brooky. He is such a good baby! He nursed right away for an hour and then left us for a bath and some tests... he came back to eat nearly 6 hours later :) lets keep this up :)
So now I am standing here because I can't sleep and can finally feel my legs and need to stretch out a bit!
I was induced at around 10:30am. Around 3pm I was just a 4 and got my epidural. Around 6:30/7pm I got really nauseas and crampy and started crying. That must have been when he decided to drop and my body decided he was ready to come...because it was only a fleeting moment. Around 7:30 I felt my water break. The nurse FINALLY checked me again and I was a 9. The dr was down the hall delivering another baby so I just waiting and felt him moving down with each contraction. The Dr came in just before 8, got everything set up and he said "lets get him out in 1 push!" My water hadn't broken...just a lot of blood. So he did that and asked me to push...I did and then he says loudly "stop!" I had to laugh... the baby was out in 3 small pushes with a few "stops!" and laughs in between.
epidurals are worth it :) I didn't hemmorage too much and they were on it was the shot the minute he was born.
I was really numb and felt like an invalid as I've been wheeled to the bathroom 3 times! I can finally feel my legs so I'm awake and enjoying standing here at the IPAD while Svend and Anders snooze.
He is such a good nurser. Holy cow. He nursed about 1.5 hours ago for 6 minutes of HARD sucking. Hopefully he sucks this fat off of me :) :)
This post-partum time I'm going to try to not be so hard on my self for my body. I am going to enjoy the fact that I have carried 5 beautiful beings and that I was given this wonderful wonderful gift. I am grateful for Anders and pray he is the one that completes our family.
